I love this article because it covers Recipes from my favorite fruit. CHERRIES! From a simple pie to the maraschino cherry, I put into my Old Fashioned every evening after dinner, my love for this fruit knows no bounds.
Having said that, you have further expanded my interest by providing other interesting ways for me to enjoy my favorite fruit. The one that has grabbed my attention the most was the number 5- Cherry Chia Jam. Not only does it contain the cherries I love, but it also has chia seeds. Chia seeds have recently been added to my diet by both my wife and my Doctor, who I believe are conspiring against me to become a healthier person! I have been informed that Chia Seeds work wonders for heart health. Secondary to that, I love jam, so this recipe is a great fit for me, and I cannot wait to try it!
Thanks for posting this, and I hope to see more like it soon!
Michael
Looks amazing, well done!
I always thought that (fresh) cherries are a bit on the sour side, how would you make them sweet without adding too much sugar to them and would you have a recipe for “cherry coulis” perhaps? this would make a great addition to icecream desserts.
What can glazed cherries be used apart from the odd fruit cake? I have never experimented with them further and would be interested if you knew anything more?
regards Helen.
Mmmmm, I love cherries, although I know that they are not everyone’s cup of tea, especially the glazed ones. Some yummy-looking recipes here. I have always wanted to try Cherry Pie as most Americans seem to rave about it, but it is not a thing in South Africa. I think I will have to try and make my own if I want to try it. It isn’t easy to find fresh cherries when they are not in season, so I am glad you can use the frozen ones with these recipes.
Which is your favorite recipe here if you had to choose?
